Young Justice Episode 14 Revelation

Young Justice Episode 14 Revelation featured the team going up against a new threat, the Injustice League, of Count Vertigo, Black Adam, Ultra-Humanite, Atomic Skull, Poison Ivy, Wotan, and last but certainly not least, the Joker, while the Justice League goes to diffuse plant monsters that contain Kobra Venom and Joker Gas! Young Justice Episode 14 Revelation aired for the first time on Cartoon Network on October 14th 2011. Let’s dive right into this episode.

Young Justice Episode 14 Revelation

I really did enjoy this episode to a point but there were a few things that bugged me. Number one being the Joker’s design and voice. Simply wasn’t feeling it. Not to say it won’t grow on me if he shows up again, but for this episode was just a bit off. Another fact is that you could replace about half of the Injustice League with cardboard cut outs and really not change the plot all that much. But that is the price for only have twenty two minutes.

Then there is the Dr. Fate helmet thing, which I’m kind of on the fence with. I screamed, “no” along with Kid Flash when Aqualad put it on. And yes, I realize that Nabu very reluctantly let him go, but hopefully this is the last time such a drastic measure is utilized for a mission. There are only so many times where the Lord of Order reluctantly lets a person go, before it becomes a bit unrealistic.

Never the less, this episode was most packed with action and lots of twists. I did enjoy the Joker pretty much going completely and utterly insane at the end, trying to kill anyone. I mean, he’s the Joker, it’s a risk putting him on your team to say the very least. He could be happy and smiling one moment, then on a murderous rampage the next.

The plan as it was happened to sound but risky. Then again, Batman had to have known what he was doing, otherwise he wouldn’t have risked the team to fight a bunch of dangerous psychopaths. Or rather he would have known they would have knew what they were doing.

We think that the society that’s been behind everything has been revealed or do we? It appears that the Injustice League was a front for the Light. All seven members of the Light have been revealed and I think that most were rather obvious. Now the identity of the light members are as follows:

Vandal Savage
The Brain
Klarion the Witch Boy
Ocean Master
Queen Bee
Ra’s Al Ghul
And Lex Luthor

Now all of the players are in place, with a little less than half of a season to go, it’s getting interesting now. Despite a few flaws with this episode, I’ll get it a 7/10 rating as it did pay off some interesting points and had some great twists.
