Batman the Brave and the Bold Season 3 Episode 11 Crisis 22, 300 Miles Above the Earth

Batman the Brave and the Bold Season 3 Episode 11 Crisis 22,300 Miles Above Earth featured Batman trying to stop a global crisis, as Ra’s al Ghul tries to send a rocket into the sun to overheat the Earth and flood it. Yet the real chaos is in the Watchtower, with a party involving Justice League International and the Justice Society of America. This is Episode 63 of Batman the Brave and the Bold, airing on October 28th 2011.

Batman the Brave and The Bold Season 3 Episode 11 Crisis 22, 300 Miles Above Earth

First we have the teaser, with the Joker leading a roast on Batman. As in both a comedy roast and also the villains roasting Batman over a spit. Joker also kidnapped comedian Jeffery Ross to help with the roast, at gunpoint. Batman being Batman manages to break free and defeat the villains with Ross getting the final punch(line) on the Joker. Wackiness to say the very least.

“Can’t talk now. Escaping skiing ninjas with lasers.”

There is one of the lines I’ve never thought I’d heard but as it turns Batman is on the run from ninjas in the mountains. Skiing ninjas as it turns out, with lasers, as it turns out. Ninjas working for Ra’s al Ghul as it turns out. And Batman gets taken out by Ubu rather handily.

Meanwhile on the watch tower, there is a party that Justice League International are holding for the Justice Society of America, those glorious heroes of yesteryear. Who are really not all that impressed by Justice League International. Given that their rather wacky nature is not something that is going to rather be impressed it. Then there are many clashes between different generations. The poor Martian Manhunter, driven straight to the cookies.

Meanwhile, Ra’s al Ghul is going to feed Batman to some giant squid monster. However, Batman gets saved by Ra’s al Ghul’s daughter, Talia, who sadly does not get a speaking role in this episode. However, she does get to kiss Batman. Chicks dig the Bat, what can I say.

There was an impressive brawl in the Watch Tower, as tensions are high. With pies being brought into the mix. You’d think that this was a Three Stooges short with this action. Martian Manhunter going intangible to avoid the pie and it going right at him, it was great.

Batman gets taken down again by Ubu and strapped to the rocket, which is going to the sun. Ra’s also rather reacts badly about his daughter helping out the detective, deciding to send her in the sun as well. Father of the year material, that Ra’s al Ghul for sure.

Thankfully, the Justice Society and the Justice League International makes the save, leading a huge brawl between then and the laser wielding skiing ninjas(how many times do you have a chance to say something like that).

A pretty fun fight between Batman and Ra’s, although not the best that these two men have had. And then all of the heroes celebrate the victory with some pie in the watchtower.

It is with a heavy heart this show is ending. I’ll give this episode a 7.5/10. Not really perfect but still rather solid.
