Young Justice Episode 17 Disordered

It’s now time to take a look at Young Justice Episode 17 Disordered featuring The Forever People from New Genesis who are going after the Sphere that Superboy acquired. Plus Intergang and Desaad, one of the New Gods from Apokolips. Young Justice Episode 17 Disordered first aired on November 11th 2011 on Cartoon Network.

 Young Justice Episode 17 Disordered

I think that this episode was a rather mixed bag. The action scenes involving Superboy were rather good but the therapy sessions between the rest of the team between Black Canary and the rest of the team ranged from ponderous to actually kind of interesting. Robin’s especially. Even though you can really pretty much have guessed a lot of what the characters were thinking if you followed the ability of context clues but hey, I guess some people do need a good sledgehammer of plot every now and then. Although I did chuckle at Wally being happily at living in denial, because I think that many of us have been at that point during our teenage years.

I think that this was one of those episodes that was moving the storyline forward to an inevitable interesting conclusion. I really did enjoy seeing Desaad, as he is of course a subordinate of Darkseid, so this is one of the many hints that he’ll be showing up before too long. At least that is the way that I really think it is going. Of course, you might get the impression from this episode that Desaad has his own malicious plan that might be independent of Darkseid’s or so he really thinks. At least that is what I thought.

There was some rather decent action scenes. The Jack Kirby New Gods stuff always makes for a fascinating dynamic in a cartoon and I think that really wondering where they are going to go from here really is just going to be something. There was an attempt at character development although there was some character development that you might have already figured out and they’re just spelling it at.

It’s one of those episodes that are likely going to be more enjoyable and actually I did enjoy that there some lingering trauma from the events of the failed training simulation last week. Even if it did open the door to exposition theater. 6.5/10 for a rather average enough episode. Watch Young Justice Episode 17 Disordered when you have the chance.
