Avengers Acts of Vengeance Review

The 3rd Episode of Season 2 of Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes aired on April 15th 2012 on Disney XD. On this episode, the Avengers and the Masters of Evil form an uneasy alliance, when The Enchantress and the Executioner try to gain revenge for Zemo and his Masters of Evil at the end of Season 1. Of course, things are going to get messy.

Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Episode 29 Acts of Vengeance Review

The second season of the Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes is really rolling forward with some great episodes and this one was no exception. The Enchantress is picking off the Masters of Evil one at a time, in her attempt to gain some revenge and get her hands around the throat of Baron Zemo.

Adversity leads to the strangest bedfellows in the world. And that would mean a team up featuring the Masters of Evil against the Avengers. Some of the Avengers do not really seem to take took kindly working with Zemo and obviously it is going to get a lot for the Hulk to play nice with the Abomination. Yet, Tony Stark has a way to contain her, given that he was studying Asgardian Magic.

Where is Thor in all of this? He has been sealed off with no way out, no way to be reached and the team is in quite the predicament. There were some pretty good fight scenes throughout this entire episode and the dynamic between "Captain America" and Baron Zemo was intriguing with Zemo only trusting Captain America to use him as bait. But Captain America has changed. More than Zemo every knows.

Wonder Man finally decides to get over himself and make the most noble of sacrifices during this episode as well. It was a sad moment but he will be back. Plus this is Marvel Comics where death is only a way to write people out of a series to give the character a little bit of a break. Yet all of the villains are in custody and everything is well for the most part.

Except for the Enchantress who seems to be in quite the tight situation. Still a good episode, although not the best of the weekend. That would have to go to Young Justice.

As always, another solid round of Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes to be had. Season 2 continues each and every Sunday as part of the Marvel Universe Animated Block on Disney XD at 11:30 AM Eastern Time.
