Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Episode 28 Alone Against A.I.M Review
Revenge is the theme, with Tony Stark, better known as Iron Man, having meddled in the plans of A.I.M, Advanced Idea Mechanics one time too many. As a result, they get their hands on a monster known as Technovore, which eats the living data.Meanwhile Maria Hill is trying to get the Avengers to register, which Stark isn't buying, not wanting his team to become S.H.I.E.L.D. pawns. There are other characters that are referenced, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, and....Spider-Man, perhaps some hints of some future episodes. Those were some nice touches, with the sheer number of heroes popping right up in the Marvel Universe, in this cartoon. Stark also appears to be neglecting Stark Industries in favor of the Avengers.
Stark Industries is overtaken by A.I.M, with the Scientist Supreme releasing the deadly and dangerous Technovore to consume arc reactor technology. Much like what Tony Stark needs to live, so this means dastardly things with our Iron Man. As Maria Hill and Tony Stark have to deal with Technovore, Black Panther and Captain America, with the help of James Rhodes, now War Machine, do battle with A.I.M as they attempt to steal all of Stark's technology.
Plans do not go according to plan, as Technovore is overloaded and eventually defeated. The Scientist Supreme tries to kidnap Pepper but she manages to not be the damsel of distress. And that had better be reflected on her bonus indeed. Captain America has the data safe that A.I.M has stolen, which is a reassuring thing for the people in the show but the people viewing, not so much. Nothing has changed and Maria Hill will get the Avengers signed up, one way or another.
Season Two kicks off to a hot note, for Avenger's Earth's Mightiest Heroes on Disney XD. Nine points out of ten for the rating for this one. A brand new episode of Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes will air each week at 11:30 AM Eastern Time on Disney XD as part of the Marvel Universe Animated Block.
