Iron Man 2099 Review

It is now time to take a look at Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 44 Iron Man 2099. In this episode, the Iron Man from the future, Andros Stark arrives, to kill the man responsible for the end of the world as we know it, his grandfather Tony Stark. But are things what they seem. Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 2099 was made available on the Nicktoons Network Website on March 28th 2012 and will air on television on April 4th 2012.

Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 44 Iron Man 2099

In a brief note, this technically is the next episode in the cartoon, even if the next episode, “ctrl-alt-del” aired first. It was made available next at the Nicktoons Network website in the right order even if Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 45 Ctrl-Alt-Del aired this week. Even those working on the show appear to not know what happened. Someone goofed somewhere. Since I don’t technically get the Nicktoons Network, I can only legally(key word “legally”) watch this episode off of their website, so since Iron Man 2099 is the one that is up, that’s the one I’m going to review.

With that rant out of the way, on with the review of the latest episode of this episode.

So we start this episode with Pepper dragging Tony along with the greatest torture known to all man kind…shoe shopping. Don’t make go on another shoe rant please, I still haven’t cleared out all of the hate mail from the last one. Anyway, an individual with a high tech armor calling himself Andros Stark shows up, he is the Iron Man of the year 2099, and he has one mission, to eliminate and kill Tony Stark, his grandfather. Apparently Tony created a program called Vortex that interfered with SHIELD computers and thus wiped out most of humanity.

It also allowed Justin Hammer to become President. Which really is the most horrifying thing in it all, as Andros Stark goes to kill Tony, even if it means his own destruction. Iron Man 2012 enlists the help of Hawkeye to defeat Iron Man 2099, needing his archery skills to shoot arrows to infect the armor with a virus to defeat him. However, Iron Man 2099 enlists the help of Justin Hammer who acts as if he is going to help, but obviously does not feel too inclined to help.

For the simple reason that if the Vortex virus is stopped, then the events that lead to Hammer being President never happen and we cannot have that at all. Of course, the twist, we should have seen coming, where the virus was created to stop Andros. Because he came back and there needed to be a way to stop him, which was the thing that he came back, so inadvertently he destroyed the world. Aren’t paradoxes fun?

And we actually saw Iron Man 2099 essentially blow up Iron Man 2012, before the time was reversed. Of course we knew that wasn’t going to go down. And Justin Hammer throws an epic tantrum when he sees that his future has changed from future United States President to imprisoned.

So I think we’ll have 7.5/10 for this episode. You can watch Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 44 on the appropriate section of the Nicktoons Network website.
