Ultimate Spider-Man Great Responsibility Review

It is now time to review Ultimate Spider-Man Episode 2 Great Responsibility. In this episode, Spider-Man gets his SHIELD training but he seems to be unwilling to work on a team. However the values of some back up might come in handy when the Frightful Four attacks again. Ultimate Spider-Man Episode 2 Great Responsibility first aired on Disney XD on April 1st 2012 as part of the Marvel Universe Animated Block.

Ultimate Spider-Man Episode 2 Great Responsibility

The second part of the world premier and again, something that I would want to touch on and that being the gadgets, which is something that could be rather hit and miss in this cartoon. The fact of the matter is that if they are not used where they do not feel forced within the story, it will come across as a ploy to sell toys. Which in a roundabout way it kind of is, because half of the success of a cartoon is how many cartoons.
I think that we should keep a running count of how many times we go to a commercial break when Spider-Man falling out of the SHIELD helicarrier. I think that there were two in this episode, there might have been more, but this might be a running gag that is either amusing or rather alarming how many times they do it.

I’ll say this right now. A lot of why I think that this cartoon will be hated will be because of the end of Spectacular Spider-Man and I’ll be honest, I wasn’t happy, but that’s an entire mess of legal and rights issues that I don’t think I have the time or the patience to go into now. Judging this show on its own merits, it is rather fun. Obviously it is not going to be the deepest show, but it is going to be one that is going to be fun.
And now we have the big sticking point for many, Spider-Man on a team. Including Spider-Man himself at first, with his team mates being White Tiger, Iron Fist, Nova, and Luke Cage er I mean Power Man. Yeah Luke Cage as a teenager that caused the Internet to crack in two. Spider-Man on a team, well that’s interesting and I think that I’m just going to adopt a wait and see attitude.

There are just a lot of parts on this show where I can see a lot of people getting rather bothered to. They should cool it with the random cutaways into Spider-Man’s thought process just a tad, just a little bit. No matter how funny a lot of them are. Osborn and Octavius are still up to that bad mojo and Jameson is running his mouth but it wouldn’t be Spider-Man without J. Jonah Jameson musing whether Spider-Man is a threat or a menace.

Another enjoyable episode. Might not be too deep, but it was not devoid of action or amusement on my part. I must really stress that this cartoon might not be everyone but if these two episodes are any indication, it is not a waste of time for thirty minutes a week so another 8/10 rating. You can watch Ultimate Spider-Man Episode 2 Great Responsibility if you got Disney XD on Demand and don’t forget to watch new episodes of Ultimate Spider-Man every Sunday morning at 11:00 AM Eastern time on Disney XD.
