Avengers 274 Review

Its now time to reach right into the really big comic book box of doom and pull out an issue for a random view. This issue is Avengers 274. The Masters of Evil have the Avengers right on the ropes, as it appears that Zemo's plan will work this time, with Captain America at his mercy, where there is none.

Avengers Issue 274 Review

Avengers Issue 274 was released by Marvel Comics with a cover date of December 1986, with the title, being "Divided...We Fall." This issue was written by Roger Stern, Pencilled by John Buscema, Inked by Tom Palmer, Colored by Christie Scheele, and Lettered by Jim Novak.

A lot was going on in this issue that kept me on the edge of my seat and that is a really good thing, I can really assure you. It is a a classic battle, older than many of the comic book fans out there, the super villain team against the super hero team. In this issue, we had the Masters of Evil, lead by Baron Zemo, against the Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers.

And the Masters of Evil are playing for keeps, to the point where they don't really care who they have to hurt. Zemo's plan is to finally get his vengeance on the Avengers. In particular Captain America, but any other Avengers out there, and he won't lose any sleep. The Avengers Mansion has been taken over by the Masters of Evil.

It does go without saying that the moment the heroes let their guard down, could be some trouble. And the trouble is never bigger than the Masters of Evil. Zemo and Mr. Hyde and the rest of the crew, they were at their best right there. The Avengers, were not on form. As a result, most of them were rather annihilated and beaten into a corner.

They will find a way to rebound and there have been many moments that have been bleaker, potentially but the Avengers being driven right down, with only the Wasp left. Hercules might be dead, Captain America is worse off and this is quite the victory for the Masters of Evil. Just like this is quite the comic book for the Avengers and Marvel Comics.

Two thumbs in the air with this one. Hopefully the Avengers can assemble and take the battle to the Masters of Evil.
