The Mighty Thor Volume 1 Issue 469 is
the next comic book to be dug right into the Really Big Comic Book
Box of Doom and to be chosen right for the Random Comic Book Box. In
this issue, a crazed and slightly demented Thor does battle with the
Infinity Watch, with the Power Gem the prize of the battle.

Review
The Mighty Thor
Volume 1 Issue 469 was titled "Absolute Power" and released
by Marvel Comic Books with a cover date of December 1993. The Mighty
Thor 469 was written by Ron Marz, Pencilled by M.C. Wyman, Inked by
Mike DeCarlo, Lettered by Phil Felix, and Colored by Ovi.
What can we say about the Mighty Thor?
One of the founding members of the Avengers, the Son of Odin, the God
of Thunder, you know the drill. For the longest time, Thor was a
character that I just tended to rather overlook. His dialogue at
times can be a bit overblown and a bit over the top at times, but
that is just a part of his charm.
In this issue, Thor has kind of
recently lost his mind. And when a god loses his mind, it is going to
be something that is not going to end well. There needs to be
something done, but the Infinity Warriors that he fought, they are
kind of outmatched. Especially when Thor gets his hands on the Power
Gem, part of the Infinity Gauntlet and uses it to resurrect Valkyrie.
We have all kinds of insanity and
fighting and it is epic. Thor can have some characterization at
times, but really this was one of those comic books that was non stop
action. And I appreciated that for what it was in fact was.
Thor has his hand
right on the Power Gem and he vows to destroy Asgard with it. Proving
that Thor has lost what passes for sanity right in the world of the
gods and has gone completely and utterly around the plan.
Overall a rather
insane issue of the Mighty Thor. Perhaps you might not go out of your
way to get the Mighty Thor 469 but take a look at that.
