It is now time to reach into the really
big comic book box of doom and pull out another issue. This time, we
have Supervillian Team Up, titled MODOK's Eleven, where MODOK gives a
group of super villains five million dollars a piece to steal a piece
of technology from AIM, playing off of the movie Ocean's Eleven.
MODOK's Eleven Review
MODOK's Eleven was
released by Marvel Comic Books with a cover date of November 2007,
with the title "Where the Money is Or the Job". MODOK's
Eleven was written by Fred Van Lente, Pencilled by Francis Portela,
Terry Pallot, Lettered by Nate Piekos, and Colored by Guard Efx.
Ah, yes this is
fascinating to say the very least. Super villains trying to screw
over other super villains in a play of the movie Ocean's Eleven. Our
leader, is MODOK as he assembled the roughest, toughest task force of
villains with Armadillo, Chamelo, Deadly Nightshade, the Living
Laser, Mentallo, Puma, Rocket Racer, The Spot, and Monica Rappacini.
The goal is
obvious, to get their hands on a piece of technology. I have always
said many times that what is a super hero without their super
villains. These super villain team ups are quite the interesting
venture, as you may rarely see a cape or a do gooder in sight.
And really, when
many people want to rule the world, they aren't going to all get
along, because there is one world to rule. MODOK, the master mind
that he is, has offered those who he has hired the money. Because he
knows that without a reward, there is really no really getting some
people to cooperate.
This was a rather
interesting storyline, most certainly worth a look. Maybe not a look
where you need to go out of your way to see. Still there was a lot of
action and never a dull moment in this effort from Marvel Comics.
