Silver Surfer Volume 3 Issue 84 Review

We reach right into the really big comic book box of doom and pull out a Silver Surfer comic book for a random comic book review. Silver Surfer Issue Volume 3 Issue 84. In this issue, the Silver Surfer faces ghosts of his past, as Thanos watches, uncaring of the fate of the Surfer, only that he has fulfilled the purpose.

Silver Surfer Volume 3 Issue 84 Review

Silver Surfer Volume 3 Issue 84 was released by Marvel Comics in September 1993 as part of the Infinite-Crusade event with the title of "The Station." This issue of Silver Surfer was written by Ron Marz, Penciled by Tom Grindberg, Inked by Tom Christopher, Colored by Renee Witterstaeffer, and Lettered by Ken Bruzenak.

This comic is all about the visuals and they are done rather good. There were many pages of the issue, without dialogue and the super powered Silver Surfer was a rather prominent visual that really was the biggest point right throughout this issue.

Thanos is really a big time conqueror and has no interest in whether people live and die. Only whether or not his plans really get carried out and people serve their intended purpose. This entire run of Silver Surfer comics have been just a nice side trip right into the surreal and the really mind blowing visuals. The story was part of an event comic and really those are just about grabbing the eyeballs more than telling a story.

Norrin Radd, the Silver Surfer, we are reminded anew just how tormented his life has been. Then again, even beside being the herald of Galactus, there are just a lot of issues right here that he has to deal with and this issue does an exceptional job at underlining a lot of that.

In the end, the issue was a nice breeze of a read, had some decent stuff to bite into. It was from an intriguing time at Marvel, the mid 1990s, which this issue of Silver Surfer was much deeper than a lot of the comics that were put out around this time. An interesting read pretty much on all fronts for the Surfer.
