West Coast Avengers 25 Review

It is now time to reach into that really big comic book box that we love so much, pull out a random issue, and sit down for some reading and reviewing. The next issue on the stack is West Coast Avengers Volume 2 Issue 25. In this issue, Wonder Man is on the set of his latest movie and he goes face to face with one of the toughest foes that ever took on the Incredible Hulk, the Abomination.

West Coast Avengers Volume 2 Issue 25 Review

West Coast Avengers Issue 25 was named "the Greatest Show on Earth" and released with a cover date of October 1987. This issue was written by Steve Englehart, penciled by Al Milgrom, inked by Mike Machlan, colored by Christie Scheele, and lettered by Tom Orzechowski.

Wonder Man is spot lighted in this issue.

Yeah my "meh" factor is reaching critical mass. I have no idea why Wonder Man just inspires me with such apathy. He's not necessarily a bad character but he's just one that on some level this fan has never really connected with.

With that fact in mind, this was not the worst lead. A rather interesting villain shows up in the form of one of the more threatening foes for the Incredible Hulk, the Abomination. As a result we get a fight between the Abomination and Wonder Man, which is rather awesome.

To his credit, Wonder Man holds his own, against a guy who has gone toe to toe with the Hulk. Of course, his crowning achievement is not caught on film and those on the set just think that it is a big publicity stunt.

Really not that much to talk about left in this issue. There was some good action and some good art work. In the end, this was one of those issues that was decent for what it was but not something that I would recommend going out of your way to read.
