Ultimate Spider-Man Episode 15 For Your Eye Only Review

The following review contains spoilers for Ultimate Spider-Man Season 1 Episode 15 For Your Eye Only.

Episode Synopsis

Spider-Man daydreams as himself as being a James Bond esq figure, before Nick Fury takes him to task with his attitude once again. He says that Spider-Man should be on time for the next training session or else. When he shows up, late as always, the super villain group known as the Zodiac shows up, lead by Scorpio. Scorpio informs Spidey and us that Nick Fury is dead. They appear to make Spider-Man the same.

Spider-Man fights out, as the Zodiac is going to steal the data from S.H.I.E.L.D and blow the Hellicarrier up. Scorpio is particularly dangerous due to his possession of the Zodiac Key, one of the top ten most dangerous weapons in the world. Fortunately, Nick Fury is more alive than we realized, and Spider-Man helps save him. Spider-Man has to focus and be a soldier if he wants to get out of this. The two manage to fight it out with Zodiac, beating them. Scorpio tries to use the Zodiac Key to eradicate Nick Fury, but Spider-Man saves the day.

It is revealed that Scorpio is Nick Fury's brother, Max Fury. Fury manages to take him out, but obviously the identity of his brother is a bothersome little bit.

Episode Review

Oh the James Bond references in this episode. Given the little scene with Spider-Man at the beginning, playing secret agent to the evil terrorist group to Fury strapped to a table with a laser aimed at his crotch to "007" being Fury's lucky number to Doctor Octopussy. Yeah, that was fun.

So many gadgets that Spider-Man had during this episode. I thought this episode was better than most but not good as the absolute best. There were some rather fun moments of action.

The point I liked about this episode was there was very little of those annoyances Spider-Man called teammates. And while Spider-Man had his annoying moments, at least it did not come close to even scratching the ground amount of stupidity that was last week.

Fury was pretty awesome in this episode. The re-gifting of the label maker made me chuckle.

Final Thoughts and Rating.

Not quite a 7(or 007) but 6/10 for Ultimate Spider-Man Episode 15 For Your Eye Only. You can watch this episode if you have Disney XD On Demand.
