Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 51 was titled the Makluan Invasion: Annihilate. In this episode,

with all ten rings, the Mandarin appears to have put forward his plans. However, the Makluan Overlord has other plans. Iron Man, War Machine, and Rescue have to work with their estranged friend/enemy in a gladiatorial arena. Episode Synopsis

It's Tony's eighteenth birthday but he is not in much mood for celebration. Especially when the Mandarin has all ten rings and prepares for his conquest of the world. The must bow to him. Tony, Rhodey, and Pepper suit up, as Howard tries to fight a way to disrupt the energy of the Makluan.

S.H.I.E.L.D. engages the Mandarin in battle, but the Mandarin manages to fight them off. Yet, the Mandarin is transported to a ship. As Iron Man, War Machine, and Rescue meet with Black Widow and Nick Fury(with Hawkeye and Black Panther observing the events), the Makluan Overlord finds Gene Khan and finds him lacking, stripping him of his rings and taking the power for himself. He then transports the three armored heroes above for some amusement.

They fight in the arena, winning the fight. The Makulan Overlord brings force their most powerful warrior, the Bezerker. The quartet fights him, managing to win. The Makulan Overlord is incensed beyond belief and brings forward his might.

The invasion is beginning and the world may be doomed.

Episode Review

Good start to this two part episode of the series finale of Iron Man Armored Adventures. This season should end on a down note. There might be some hanging plot threads, but that tends to happen even with the best series.

The Makluan Overlord was quite the nasty little piece of work. And rather powerful, without the rings which he took. Taking such amusement at building up the hopes of people before crushing them.

Pepper's dismay at being the Damsel in Distress again made me chuckle. Although to be fair, Tony was just returning the favor as he said.

Obviously this episode while not lacking in action, was set up for the fun much later. I did really find myself enjoying this episode, and really the promise for things to come next week. We need a team to assemble to defeat the Makluan invasion if you catch my drift.
