It is now time to take a look at Batman the Animated Series Episode 29 Eternal Youth, which features the return of Poison Ivy who tries to get her vengeance on people harming mother nature by murdering them by using a formula that turns them into trees. Batman the Animated Series Episode 29 Eternal Youth aired on September 23rd 1992.

Batman the Animated Series Episode 29 Eternal Youth

There are some episodes that are good, some that are awesome, some are so bad that they are memorable, and then there are others that are so bad that they are horrifying. Then there are just some episodes that you sit there for twenty two minutes (or thirty with commercials) and it doesn’t really leave much of an impression in any way.

This episode of Batman the Animated Series Eternal Youth is one of them. The plot mentioned above pretty much is all that you need to know about this episode. Poison Ivy makes her return. That could have been rather interesting but really there were times where it really isn’t. The fact is that this is not a bad episode, it is just one of those episodes that just happen and it really doesn’t leave any kind of lasting impression either way.

One thing that I would really say about this episode is that Poison Ivy has a formula that turns people into trees. Yet she sets up this health spa and this scheme where you’re going to catch Batman’s notice. Granted to a certain extent, many of these plots would have been pulled off better, had the villains not gotten too creative and not given Batman a hint.

Murderous rampage is not a healthy way of dealing with someone harming the environment. That’s Ivy’s character but this plot just didn’t seem all that inspired.

You know there have been episodes out there that I hated as a child but liked better as an adult and then there are times where I liked as a child but it didn’t hold up too well as an adult, but this episode is just didn’t hole up. Alfred and his lady friend Maggie were kind of fun but that was about it.

Because it wasn’t necessarily bad, I’ll give this episode a nice 3/10 rating. Poison Ivy would have more engaging episodes and moments later on but this episode was not one of them.
