It is time to review Batman the Animated Series Episode 33 Robin’s
Reckoning Part II, featuring the second part of the origins of Robin and
his quest for vengeance. Batman the Animated Series Episode 33 Robin’s

Batman the Animated Series Episode 33 Robin’s Reckoning Part II
The first episode was good and the second part to this episode was
obviously the good compliment for the first. Years ago, Dick Grayson
found Tony Zucco, as did Batman, but Batman obviously mad the right move
to save the child. Young Dick is not too happy, yelling at Batman that
he should have captured Zucco but Batman lets him in on his word. Thus
he eventually becomes Robin and this is the story that we have right
now.
Zucco is really paranoid right at the moment. He was out of town for
years, but the moment he steps back into town, Batman is now breathing
down his neck once again. This has Zucco really rattled, especially when
the phone rings, for Robin to trace the call, and then there is no one
on the other side.
So Zucco loses his mind, as Batman is sneaking up above, so he
shoots at Batman, who falls to the ground, causing Batman to twist his
knee. Despite the handicap, Batman manages to fight off Zucco’s gang.
Zucco has lost his mind and begins shooting like a crazed man, until
Robin made the save, managing to take Zucco. Despite the fact that it
would be so easy to take Zucco once and for all, that’s the point. It
would be too easy.
A great moment, as Batman reveals basically that he tried to keep
Robin out of the loop because he was afraid that all Zucco did, the
people he killed, Robin could be next. See in the end, Batman did what
was best. Of course, there would be some tension, even if things were
mostly patched up, that would eventually lead some huge ramifications
much further down the line.
This is an essential two part episode, which is why it gets a 10/10.
It is one of the more pivotal episodes for character development and
the Batman Mythos. Batman the Animated Series Episode 33 Robin’s
