It is now time to take a look at the latest episode of Green Lantern the Animated Series, which is Episode 6 entitled Lost Planet. In this episode, a Green Lantern ring is tracked right to a planet that is about to be hit by an asteroid. However, are these doomed people on the planet really innocent people stranded or are there is more than meets the eye, in more ways than one? Green Lantern the Animated Series Episode 6 Lost Planet Review
Well I thought this episode was very decent, but once again, we have the person who we think is a good guy, betrays the team thing for about the third time in this show. It is to the point where you can set your watch by it. A swerve ceases being a swerve, if it is expected, at least that is how I will say things.
Kilowog and Hal Jordan are clashing over protocol and one of the main points of this episode, is that Hal Jordan’s ability to lead is being questioned, yet again. Which really he makes a decision that seems foolishly heroic, but it tends to turn out to be for the best a lot of the time. In this episode, once again it was for the best, to save the planet, even if it turned out to be really bad.
This leads to one of the more intriguing Green Lanterns out there and that’s saying a lot, that being Mogo the Living Planet. This is an actual member of the Green Lantern corps, an entire planet. Which is kind of awesome, to have a planet and Mogo looks to get going pretty well, by blasting the asteroid out of the sky and holding the two prisoners captive. Once the ring didn’t go to anyone, I kind of figured that was the direction that they were heading and I’m sure many Green Lantern fans did as well.
Saint Walker is an intriguing character as well but hell Mogo was the star, being a planet that is a member of the Green Lantern corps.
Going to have to go with a 7/10 for this episode, but this cartoon while solid, is dangerously flirting with being repetitive.
