Incredible Hulk 313 Review

Let's reach right into the Random Comic Book Box of Doom and pull out another comic book. The comic book I will be reading right now is the Incredible Hulk Issue 313. In this episode, the Hulk is stuck in the Crossroads Dimension, after the death of Bruce Banner. There will be much insanity to be had.

Incredible Hulk Issue 313 Review

Incredible Hulk Issue 313 was published by Marvel Comics with a cover date of November 1985 and titled "Hook, Line, and Sinker."  This comic book was written by Bill Mantlo, pencilled by Mike Mignola, Inked by Gerry Talacc, colored by Bob Sharen, and Lettered by Jim Novak.

The Incredible Hulk is one of the most famous characters in all of comic books and it is not hard to see why. He is a complex and rather dark character, with the duel personality of Bruce Banner, who turns into the Hulk on anger. Hulk has come in many forms and colors. The green Hulk is the most well known Hulk.

Around this time, Bruce Banner is dead, technically speaking. The Hulk technically lives on and the Hulk is trapped right into an alternate dimension. The Hulk's going through the various alternate dimensions, becoming more and more frustrated and angered with each passing mass and all of the imagery that is show, was a real treat.

I found this to be a rather well put together comic book and really you can feel the torment of Bruce Banner. He doesn't want to be the monster, he would rather die than be the monster, but he is a part of the Hulk and the Hulk is part of him. And neither party is too happy about that. That's always been the defining factor of the Incredible Hulk.

The Hulk being pulled out of the portal by Alpha Flight was quite the snappy ending.

A great issue of the Incredible Hulk and one that is worth a look if you should get that opportunity.
