Let's reach right into the Really Big
Comic Book Box of Doom and pull out another comic book to review.
This time, we have Superman Man of Steel Volume 1 Issue 3. In this
issue, the Whites and the Kents are on vacation, where they have to
deal with the ramifications of a giant creature based off of a curse.
As always, this looks like a job for Superman.
Superman Man of Steel Volume 1 Issue
3 Review
Superman Man of
Steel Volume 1 Issue 3 was released by DC Comic Books with a cover
date of September 199. This issue of Superman Man of Steel, was
written by Louise Simonson, Pencilled by Joe Bogdanove, Inked Dennis
Janke, Colored by Glenn Whitmore, and lettered by Bill Oakley.
Superman is always
one of the most beloved and known heroes on the market. He is one of
the first names to crop up when you think Super Hero. With that being
said, he can be the magnet for some absolute weirdness right in his
comic books. Of course, when you see an issue of Superman fighting a
giant snake, you pretty much know that you might be getting yourself
into something interesting.
The issue premise
is rather innocent enough to start out with Perry White and his wife
Alice, along with Jonathan and Martha Kent on vacation. Of course,
something as mundane as a vacation would not have been shown right in
the comic book, without something absolutely insane and out of this
world about ready to happen.
What follows is a
relatively fun issue of Superman Man of Steel. Now granted, it is not
really something that I would say read at all costs but at the same
time, it is not something that I was rushing right through. It was
rather intrigued and when you get caught by the cover on, really that
is something.
As you might
expect, Superman saves the day, because he's Superman and that really
is what he does. Kents nearly blow their adopted son's secret
identity but thankfully no one notices, as everyone was picking up
after the giant snake attack.
Overall a rather
interesting issue of Superman.
