West Coast Avengers Volume 2 Issue 27 Review

West Coast Avengers Volume 2 Issue 27 was first released by Marvel Comics with a cover date of December 1987. This issue of West Coast Avengers was titled "Star Struck" and written by Steven Englehart, pencilled by Al Milgrom, Inked by Mike Machlan, colored by Paul Becton, and lettered by Ken Lopez.

The strength of any medium is how engaging their villains are and the Zodiac, named based off of the said astrological model, was a rather interesting group of villains. From an action standpoint, perhaps I have seen better, but this comic book kept me flipping through the pages, wanting to see more about what is going to happen.

There plan is infiltration, which Mockingbird appears to spot right away, with a confession of a murder that she committed appearing not to bother Hawkeye all that much, which shows that he is an LMD and the West Coast Avengers promptly take care of the fake Hawkeye.

All is well except knowing where the real Hawkeye is but that is really the next thing to do.

Only all is not well, as Tigra has also been replaced. The Zodiac, like any intelligent group of criminals would, have not thrown their eggs all into one basket. Because that is that would mean their plans would have been derailed.

Nick Fury being caught in the shower made me laugh. Even if in the back of my mind, likely something that I didn't need to see.

I found this one to be a rather nice read, nothing too confusing, everything was laid out, new readers could jump right in for too many problems. Fewer problems if you had a somewhat working knowledge. Overall West Coast Avengers Volume 2 Issue 27 was something that I enjoyed reading.
