Episode Synopsis

Iron Man and Captain America go to release Bruce Banner, much to the dismay of General Thunderbolt Ross, but Banner hulks out worse than ever, going on a rampage. The Hulk is more savage after his captivity then ever before. The Avengers reluctantly go after the Hulk, but Red Hulk shows up, to assist them. He appears to have turned over a new leaf, although Captain America is reluctant.

Red Hulk is accepted into the Avengers, by majority vote and appears to be a heroic new member of the team. Captain America still isn't sure and goes to the cell where they contained Bruce Banner, with Wasp stowing away for the ride. They uncover a sonic device in Hulk's brain that is driving him mad. Red Hulk shows up, just after they disable it, with the Avengers, accusing Captain America of treason.

Hulk battles with Red Hulk, who realizes that he lost his little device in Hulk's brain and the battle occurs. The rest of the Avengers show up, with Iron Man revealing that he has installed a fail safe device in the Avengers ID card he gave Red Hulk. Red Hulk is bathed in nanites, contained and he is revealed to be General Ross. Ross babbles that he is the only one that can control the Hulk and is lead off.

Hulk is invited to rejoin the team. He says he wants to be left alone but to clal him if he needed them.

Episode Review

I thought this episode was fine but not good. Although Hulk saying something along the lines that the Avengers took their sweet time in finding him nets this episode points for me . Paraphrasing the sentiments of many fans on the Internet I'm sure.

You could see that Red Hulk was pulling an act but obviously, Iron Man was smart enough to figure out a plan. And Hawkeye checking his ID card afterwards was ace.

Captain America seems to be the star of the last few episodes and one could argue that he is the star of the entire series. There are fewer things that this series has gotten more right than good old Captain America.

Red Hulk and Hulk had a fight. It was fine. It was a fight.

Final Thoughts and Rating.

7/10 Rating for this episode. You can watch Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Episode 48 The Deadliest Man Alive on Disney XD sometime within the next couple of months. Well legally anyway.
