Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Episode 50 Operation Galactic Storm.

This review contains spoilers for Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Season 2 Episode 24.

Episode Synopsis

A ship out by the sun is invaded by the Kree. The Kree sets up a Warhole Generator as the Avengers and S.W.O.R.D. try to deal with the invasion, with the help of Mar-Vell who modifies the technology, as Yellowjacket stays behind to help Agent Brand. The Kree attacks on two fronts, both at the sun and to release Ronan the Accuser. They also leave a nice present, a bomb that will leave a crater in the middle of New York.

The Avengers try and shut down the worm hole generator but they are too late. The Kree appears to win and all hope has appeared to have been lost. Yet, a plan to collapse the worm hole, at a great cost, with Hawkeye making the shot is made. Black Panther has to stay behind. Yellowjacket manages to shrink the bomb, sending it into the microverse.

The wormhole generator is destroyed and Black Panther is sacrificed, meeting his apparent death. As for the Avengers, they have to face an armada of Kree Warships.

Episode Review

That ending, oh boy. As it turns out, the events of this episode is what lead to the bad future that Kang showed the Avengers in the previous season. The Kree are playing for keeps, as they are damaging everything right in their path.

The Avengers do their best and obviously it is not without a great sacrifice. Now granted, this being a comic book cartoon, you almost expect things not to be what they seem. Captain America being the one that made a call, due to his apparent role. Talk about a lot of the pressure on the guy.

Yellowjacket after being out of focus since the episode that was his name sake returned with a vengeance and his interaction with Agent Brand in this episode. Especially when Brand told him to stop being crazy for five minutes and be Hank Pym. Then she punched him once.

Fine, I'll say it. Hank Pym getting hit by a woman, tee hee. Now can we move on with our lives?

The ending was rather grand in many ways. So many war ships. Feeding into the next episode as well.
