Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Episode 49 was titled the New Avengers. Kang the Conqueror returns to
erase the Avengers from reality. The New Avengers, a mish mash team
of Spider-Man, War Machine, The Thing, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and
Wolverine are the only hope the world has. Providing they can get
along enough. Let us take a look at this latest effort from Marvel
Animation.

Episode 49 The New Avengers Review
This review
contains spoilers for Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes Episode 49 the
New Avengers.
Episode Synopsis
An energy flux
indicates that Kang has returned and he has turned the Arc Reactor at
Stark Towers into a time machine. Where he manages to trap the
Avengers. A brief flashback shows how we got here, with the Council
of Kangs freely Kang to deal with the Avengers, because his timeline
has become dangerous and the Avengers are only alive in his
corporation.
Before they
disappear into nothingness, Iron Man enacts the new Avengers
protocol. New recruits being Spider-Man, War Machine, Iron Fist, Luke
Cage, The Thing, and last but not least, Wolverine. The city is
flooded by ninjas, dinosaurs, robots, and all kinds of a mess.
Spider-Man finds out, thanks to J.A.R.V.I.S. that Kang has taken over
Stark Towers and sure enough, things are changing around them.
The New Avengers
go right after Kang, but he promptly hands them. Spider-Man says that
the reason the Avengers have defeated Kang previously was because of
there team work and they have to act right as a team. The rest of the
team serves as a distraction, as Spider-Man disables Kang's
technology, using his spider sense. The Avengers return and Kang is
promptly defeated.
As Luke Cage sends
Iron Man a bill because it is heroes for hire and not heroes for
charity, Spider-Man is given an Avengers ID card as a reserve member.
Episode Review
Kind of rushed in
places. We had twenty two minutes for Kang to enact his plan, to get
a team together, to fight Kang, to defeat Kang, and to bring the
Avengers back. That can be a tricky act. On our team we have
Spider-Man, the Thing, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and War Machine, all who
have been well established. And Wolverine, who only was shown in a
brief flashback in World War II, but really needs no introduction.
Despite the fact
this episode seemed rushed, it was kind of enjoyable. Thing staying
home to watch the game and asking War Machine if he could get the
scores of the game. Luke Cage saying that they are heroes for hire
and later sending Stark the bill. Spider-Man calling Wolverine his
trusty side kick, much to Wolverine's annoyance. Wolverine just
utterly tearing into the dinosaurs off screen. And Spider-Man saying
how the British Computer in his head(J.A.R.V.I.S) told him about
Kang.
Oh and fast ball
special.
Defeating Kang, it
was kind of smart, and Spider-Man using his brain, something that I
think can get lost a lot of times sometimes. Spider-Man's little quip
at the end about if he gets benefits, a good idea. And I laughed when
Luke Cage was true to his word.
Kang was abruptly
brought back and abruptly finished, that is my main gripe about this
episode. The Council of Kangs were not established as far as this
show went. But hey, there was enough quality about this episode
despite it being rushed. Another one that could have done well spread
out over a couple of episodes but this one and done stuff is the
order of the day because children have attention spans of mud, as far
as those behind Marvel Animation think.
Final Thoughts and Rating
7.5/10, if it was
not so rushed, I would have enjoyed this one. Avengers Earth's
Mightiest Heroes Episode 49 the New Avengers will be watched on
Disney XD legally sometimes soon. Otherwise, there are ways.
