Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Episode 43 Ultron Unlimited

The following review will have spoilers for Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Season 3 Episode 17 Ultron Unlimited.

Episode Synopsis

Ms. Marvel is confronted by what appears to be Iron Man, who states that he finds her job performance in the Avengers rather lacking. Iron Man is revealed to be an android, and Vision shows up, as this is the next step of a plan.

At the mansion, Hawkeye and Captain America do battle with duplicates of themselves and Vision. Hawkeye is captured after a spirited fight and Captain America appears to be destroyed. A fight between the robotic Avengers and Thor occurs once again, with Thor in disbelief, but he is overwhelmed. Vision kidnaps Wasp, harming her in the process and at that moment, he appears to sense some flaws in his programming.

Wasp is taken and finds out that Ultron lives. Ultron reveals his plans to destroy all human life, which is flawed and also put Wasp's mind right into the brain of an android, codenamed Jocasta, so she could be just light them. As Wasp takes Ultron to task about his own hypocrisy, the fake Avengers return and Ultron discovers that Captain America is the real deal.

A fight takes place between Captain America and Vision but Captain America refuses to give up. The other Avengers get released and do battle with Ultron's army. Ultron takes on the Avengers himself, as his upgrades have proven to be problematic, until Vision comes to the realization of what Ultron was doing was mistaken and detaches his head, so Thor can destroy it.

The team is caught in an explosion, one that Iron Man blocks but Captain America refuses to leave without saving Vision. Vision says that Ultron tried to make him perfect but to Vision, being perfect is being more human than less.

Episode Review

This was an action packed and fun episode of the Avengers, far better than I was expected with this home stretch of stand alone episodes. I think that it wrapped Ultron's current story arc up to a satisfactory level.

Ultron making the same mistakes that Hank Pym did in a round about way with his creation eventually rebelling against him because of his vision, was rather good. Vision was a rather well written character, and his shift from enemy to hero really was handled well.

Captain America's little trick was awesome even if it was telegraphed when it happened just a little bit. Then again, you sometimes have to be predictable to really move things from one point to the other.

Wasp's calling out Ultron on not being too much unlike humans and his obvious desire to have a "robotic girlfriend" was glorious. Although given this is right out of the comics, due to Ultron's original programming being based off of Hank Pym's brain waves.

Some really epic fighting between Marvel's Mighty Heroes and I enjoyed this episode.

Final Summary and Thoughts

I did not think I would actually rate an episode this high, with the last twelve episodes, but 9/10. You can watch Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes Episode 43 Ultron Unlimited on Disney XD later this year, legally.
