Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 48 Rage of the Hulk Review

The following review contains spoilers of Iron Man Armored Adventures Season 2 Episode 22 Rage of the Hulk

Episode Synopsis

Iron Man deals with AIM thugs but Tony Stark is late with a meeting with his father. As Howard lectures Tony on responsibility, they run into Bruce Banner who is on the run. They modify a device to help Banner rid himself of the Hulk but S.H.I.E.L.D. under the temporary control of Thunderbolt Ross shows up and captures the Hulk, with Iron Man fighting.

It turns out, Ross wants his own army of Hulks to control, despite it being argued that they cannot control one. Also he plans to destroy the original, which Iron Man finds out. Banner escapes, Hulking out, as Iron Man gets his Hulkbuster Armor and War Machine shows up as well. They save the hellicarrier from crashing and engage the Hulk who is not happy.

Ross deploys weapons to deal with the Hulk, finally having the mandroids take them down. War Machine and Iron Man are unable to stop him, as he tries to use the Gamma Dampener to finish off the Hulk but it overloads. It turns the Hulk into a grey and more intelligent version of the monster. He leaves them alone and Ross is arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D.

Episode Review

A fun episode, it features the Hulk so you really know about what you are getting yourself into. And what you are getting yourself into is a lot of fighting and angst about the Hulk. This episode of Iron Man Armored Adventures had a lot of entertaining scenes and Hulk was a force of destruction.

Fury seemed to be a bit too passive with Ross. Then again, with Fury, you can never tell what his agenda might be doing. Who is to say he hasn't had similar with the Hulk right during the past.

More articular Hulk is always interesting, then using the grey version. Although the big green guy who shouts Hulk smash is burned into the collective minds of the general public, so you can see why they would use him.

The dynamic between Tony and his father interesting. That power and responsibility line was a nice little nod to another character and you just wonder if Howard suspects something. Nice save Fury, with Maria Hill almost spilling the beans.
