Young Justice Episode 32 Bloodlines Preview

There will be spoilers for Young Justice Season 2 Episode 5 Bloodlines.

Episode Synopsis

We see young red haired man in the mountains, working on a mysterious device.

Back in the Cave, Beast Boy, Robin, and Nightwing are in the cave, investigating the intelligence about the Kroloteans and they were after something called the meta gene. A disturbance right in the cave causes the team members to be on alert, but a mysterious speedster, who calls himself Impulse shoots out and runs around the cave, until Nightwing takes him out and traps him. He reveals that he is Bart Allen, the grandson of Barry Allen, from the future. Impulse manages to escape.

Meanwhile in the mountains of Tibet, Cheshire and Red Arrow are looking for the original Roy Harper, with Cheshire berating Red Arrow for not calling himself real, for the sake of their daughter, Lian, who they brought along for the ride.

Impulse meets the past versions of Grandfather, Barry, his grandmother Iris(who is revealed to be pregnant with Barry's father and aunt), his first cousin once removed, Wally, and his honorary great grandparents Jay and Joan Garrick(who are celebrating seventy years of marriage). A dangerous threat is in the city, demanding the Flash.

Flash goes out to go against the enemy, revealed to be Neutro, with Kid Flash and Impulse showing up to battle him. They try a daring move, but this only causes Neutro to destabilize even further. They manage to deal with him, with Impulse planting a device that cures Neutro, who has no memories of what has occurred.

Meanwhile it appears that Bart's story checks out and he returns to the future, or at least tries to but the time machine is broken. Red Arrow and Cheshire have found the real Roy Harper after defeating assassins.

And in the future, Bart Allen is revealed to have gone back in time to prevent a bad future. All that is changed is the fact that Neutro has been cured of his powers.

Episode Review

An awesome episode that details the Flash legacy rather well, so it really does have a lot of good moments and some rather enjoyable action all throughout this entire episode as well.

I can't say what I enjoyed more. Impulse's constant reprimanding himself for "spoilers" or Red Arrow's dismay that his and Cheshire's daughter was showing too much enjoyment for the violence as she was along for the mission.

They did find original Roy, so yeah that plotline is rather wrapped up quite nicely.

Poor Wally getting outclassed in speed and not being able to keep up with Barry and Bart's conversation at the speed of Alvin the Chipmunk.

So yeah, all in and all, a pretty fun episode.
