Iron Man Dragon Seed Review

Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 50 was titled Dragon Seed. In this episode, Pepper finally gets her own suit of armor and the Mandarin gets the tenth ring, as he learns about his long lost heritage. Iron Man Armored Adventures Episode 50 Dragon Seed Review

The following review contains spoilers for Iron Man Armored Adventures Season 2 Episode 24 Dragon Seed.

Episode Synopsis

A flashback to the childhood of Temugin/Gene Khan, leads to him in the present day trying to locate the final Makulan Ring. Meanwhile, Tony is trying to hunt down the Mandarin so he can stop him before he has all ten rings. Pepper gets her own suit of armor, and needless to say, she is happy, taking it for a test drive, with Iron Man and War Machine moving behind her in an attempt to keep her more destructive tendencies in line.

Meanwhile, Tony locates the rings and the three get their permission, but there seems to be a rather heated moment when Tony thinks that his father is making weapons again. They make their way to China, with the Mandarin having found the tenth ring.

He manages to grab it revealing the guardian, who tells the story of the heritage, part of an alien race known as the Makulan. He judges Gene unworthy to possess the rings, which Gene does not take too kindly to say the very least. We have a battle. Iron Man, War Machine, and Pepper save the Makulan, who says that Pepper is the most worthy to wield the rings.

Needless to say, that hacks Gene off, who destroys the guardian and the Mandarin now has all ten rings to use with as he pleases and he plans something rather destructive with them as well. He could destroy anyone. Howard Stark shows up with a Quantum Distabalizer, but even the Mandarin is too powerful. Howard also knows his son's secret identity and while he doesn't necessarily approve, he does admit that he likely would have done the same thing at Tony's age. Pepper dubs herself Rescue.

Meanwhile, the Mandarin is out there with all ten rings the power corrupting.

Episode Review

The first bit it what was essentially the final story arc of this show as it does seem highly unlikely with Iron Man Armored Adventures having a third season, given that a new Iron Man show is on the blocks. I'm just happy we got fifty two episodes.

Absolute power corrupts absolutely and obviously Gene's disconnect with reality proves to be obvious, when he accused Tony of pretending to be his friend. Obvious the rings have drove him mad, there is a darkness right in his heart.

Pepper in the Rescue armor was glorious, along with Tony making the quip that he has to stop her from destroying New Jersey with her enthusiasm, although if it's the Shore, it wouldn't mind. As in the New Jersey Shore.

Howard knew, but I think we expected that.

Overall some good tension right in this episode. Looking forward to the final two part finale.
