Hercules Issue 3 Review

It is now time to reach right into the really big comic book box of Doom and pull out another random comic book, this time of Hercules, the Prince of Power Volume 2 Issue 3. In this issue, Hercules rages war, with the power of Captain Mar-vel. It is a power struggle the likes of which the world has never seen, a struggle worthy of the gods.

Hercules Volume 2 Issue 3 Review

Hercules Volume 2 Issue 3 was released by Marvel Comics with a cover date of May 1984, with a title of "Deadly Legacy." Hercules Volume 2 Issue 3 was part of the second Hercules limited series, written, penciled and inked by Bob Layton, colored by Christie Scheele, and Lettered by Rick Parker.

If nothing else, our hero, Hercules is nothing but a trip. And he is an epic fighter, with some wonderful scenes right throughout this comic book. We had some heavy hitters make a brief appearance or two in this issue, one of them being the terrible Thanos. Even if it was brief, Thanos will make you sit up and take notice that something is going down.

The battle gets interested, when the powers of the original Captain Marvel or Mar-Vell are found and Hercules does battle. And this was one issue that kept me right on the edge of my seat, really just keeping me turning from one page to the next match, all throughout this effort from Hercules. Tis really the mark of a good comic book.

It did really wet my appetite and tell a good story. Pacing was good and there were just some scenes in this comic book where Hercules quite frankly did in fact look rather epic. So those are some key points right there.

Overall up until the end, I hang on, right on the edge of my chair, flipping the pages. A story was told. As I said, this comic is normally right my rather established comfort zone but it is a rather solid read and kept me interesting. Worth a brief peak, but don't go out of your way.
