Mighty Thor 434 Review

The Mighty Thor Issue 434 is the next issue to be pulled right out of the Really Big Comic Book Box of Doom and reviewed. The second Thor enlists the help of Captain America to try and uncover the mystery of what happened to the Real Thor. Meanwhile, Annihilus has some kind of big plan in mind.

The Mighty Thor Volume 1 Issue 434 Review

The Mighty Thor issue 434 was released by Marvel Comics with a cover date of July 1991 and titled "If He Be Worthy". The Mighty Thor 434 was written by Tom DeFalco, Pencilled by Ron Frenz, Inked by Al Milgrom, Colored by Mike Rockwitz, and lettered by Chris Eliopoulus.

The Mighty Thor is at the very least an intriguing read, even if there are times where the mythology can be all helter skelter and all over the place. I doubt casual comic book readers would know that other people took the Thor mantle other than you know, the Thor. So that is interesting, as Eric Masterson is the man to hold the hammer.

Captain America is rather appreciated in this issue, as always when Captain America shows up. Of course, given this issue, as big of a fan as I am of Captain America, we could really take or leave him to be honest with you. Still be that as it may, a good appearance from the original Avenger.

The real mystery is what happened the real Thor, and Heimdall is rather not receptive for answers. So the next best guess would be the All Father himself, the almighty Odin, father of Thor. Of course, as it turns out, Odin is in the Odin Sleep.

Which really throws off some rather prominent alarm bells right in my head. You know that pretty much every time Odin goes right into the Odin Sleep, it is just opening up the flood gates for something, anything to happen. And sure enough, he is kidnapped by Annihilus.

While not my favorite issue of the Mighty Thor it was not too bad of an issue either. I'm on the fence with this one.
