Silver Surfer Vol 3 Issue 56 Review

It is now time to reach into the Really Big Comic Book Box of Doom and pull out another random comic book. This time, we have Silver Surfer Volume 3 Issue 56. Silver Surfer appears to be right at the mercy of the all powerful Thanos and his Infinity Gauntlet but things are not what they appear to the reader.

Silver Surfer Volume 3 Issue 56 Review

Silver Surfer Volume 3 Issue 56 was released by Marvel Comic Books in October 1991 with the title "The Universe According to Thanos Part 2: Exodus". Silver Surfer 56 was written by Ron Marz, Pencilled by Ron Lim and Gavin Curtis, Inked by Tom Christopher, Colored by Tom Vincent, and lettered by Ken Bruzenak.

Thanos is one of the most deadly and dangerous threats in the entire Marvel Comic Books universe. Whenever he really shows up, he could really be a huge problem for the most powerful of heroes right in the Marvel Comics. And even some of the villains out there, they are not in the best of hope when they are going to take on Thanos.

Now as with this issue, the Silver Surfer is in fact one of the most powerful forces, with the power cosmic. And Thanos has him on a chain. Granted, this was an illusion, potentially a dream, not real, but it could happen. Thanos could keep someone rather powerful right on a chain, because that is really the kind of person that he is.

There were some good fight scenes in this issue, involving the Surfer and Thanos, illusion or no. And really this issue did really did drive home the point that Thanos is not really someone to mess with and a force of absolute destruction.

So this issue did hit all of the right notes, a good issue for Silver Surfer and perhaps illusion or not, it really does show the torment that might come later.
