Silver Surfer Volume 2 Issue 28 Review

The next comic book out of the Really Big Comic Book Box of Doom for a review is Silver Surfer Volume 2 Issue 28. In this comic book, the Silver Surfer and the Skrulls form an alliance to take some more deadly enemies right out there in the galaxy. Yet the risks right are there could be rather potentially fatal.

Silver Surfer Volume 2 Issue 28 Review

Silver Surfer Volume 2 Issue 28 was released by Marvel Comics with a cover date of October 1989 and was titled "Neanderthals". This issue was written by Steve Englehart, Pencilled by Ron Lim, Inked by Tom Christopher, Lettered by Ken Bruzenak, and Colored by Tom Vincent.

Well this issue did kind of hammer home a bit about the Skrulls being a bit more deep than some invading alien race. Of course, there was a lot of dialogue right in this issue and I think that just like you have have not enough dialogue right into a comic book, you can have too much as well. I'm not sure if I can safely say this issue reached that point. Even if there were a couple of points where I had to stop myself from skimming.

Silver Surfer really in my view was the star of this issue, as he should be, as it is his own comic. However, there are times where secondary characters tend to just seize the spotlight, because they reach right in and grab you, no matter what the circumstances would in fact be.

The little look into the lives of the Skrulls were also a highlight. It sometimes does help that these alien races do have their own problems, even if they are antagonists right in many issues. The team up was unique, and the consequences were high, as a very prominent Skrull died in this issue.

This being a comic book, I'm sure he did get better eventually.

Overall a fascinating read for Silver Surfer Issue 28, in the third volume of the Silver Surfer. Not perfect, but those putting together this comic at Marvel for the Silver Surfer.
