Ultimate Man Spider-Man Episode 7 Exclusive Review

As always there will be spoilers, for Ultimate Spider-Man Episode 7 Exclusive so if you do not want to be spoiled, then please check out right now.

Episode Summary

Mary Jane Watson tries to win the Daily Bugle contest, by getting an exclusive with Spider-Man but things get interesting when the Incredible Hulk shows up. Spider-Man fares about as well as one would expect that he would against the angry force of destruction known as the Hulk but while the Hulk appears at first to be going on a raging rampage, that is not the case.

Rather the Hulk is fighting an energy monster. When Spider-Man discovers this, he teams up with the big green guy, in an attempt to take the monster down but the monster does not appear to go down easy. As Spider-Man and the Hulk try to take him down, S.H.I.E.L.D gets involved, with Spider-Man getting the bright idea of overloading the monster. Sure enough, that is enough to defeat him.

S.H.I.E.L.D. attempts to turn their attention to Hulk but Spider-Man assures that Hulk is a hero, so Fury agrees to let him go. Hulk bemoans about stupid humans. Except for "Bug Man", because he's a good smasher. Hulk goes off to do what Hulk does.

Mary Jane despite not entering the contest after all, gets a job at the Daily Bugle after all.

Episode Review

I'll tell you something about this week's episode that really brought it several levels of most of the other episode. The cutaways were not present and the team mates were not present outside of their civilian identities.

In other words, the two biggest gripes I have with this series so far is not present and as a result, we get a much better episode. I now want a series with Hulk and Spider-Man as smash buddies just going across the country, but sadly that won't happen.

Seriously, this might not have been an epic episode, but it was a fun episode and it did not annoy me trying to be too funny. Plus Stan Lee, who doesn't like some Stan Lee and all of his insanity that goes on. It is rather easy to see why Stan Lee help craft all of these comic book characters, because he is a real life comic book character himself.

Enjoyable half hour of action. The villain was long time Hulk threat, Zzzax, but not named right through this episode.

Final Thoughts

A good episode, it felt like a Spider-Man cartoon. Actually last week's was good, but 8/10 for this one. You can watch Ultimate Spider-Man Episode 7 Exclusive if you have Disney XD On Demand and don't forget to watch Ultimate Spider-Man episodes brand new each and every week on Disney XD.
