X-Factor 85 Review

It is time to sit down, reach into the really Big Comic Book Box of Doom and review another comic book, this time being X-Factor Issue 85, X-Cutioner's Song Part 6: Snikts and Bones. In this issue, things are not what they seem with Cable and the Mutant Liberation Front go to battle with our various X-Factions.

X-Factor Volume 1 Issue 85 Review

X-Factor Volume 1 Issue 85 was released by Marvel Comics, cover date of December 1992. This issue was written by Peter David with Jae Lee on Pencils, Al Milgrom on Ink, Glynis Oliver on Colors, and Richard Starkings on the letting for this issue.

Ah comic books in the 1990s, actually the X-Men Comic Books, where there were many different spin offs, with characters who are extreme and big, with high explosion. We had X-Men, then we had X-Factor, then we had X-Force, and they were all in this issue, which is Part 6. Yeah skipping from Part 3 to Part 6, that is just how the box works.

We have Wolverine and Bishop doing battle with Cable, but thankfully Wolverine manages to figure out that something just is not right. Some great art and action was present in this issue by the way, which made it nice. There were about nine million characters fighting for page space as well, but that's the X-Men for you, there are a lot of mutants, both good, evil, and indifferent.

The Mutant Liberation Group is a fascinating set of villains, and wicked too, one that I do not go about. And Strfye in this issue, talk about a villain who is everything people complain about comic books in the 1990s all rolled into one. He has that sort of creepy vibe, which makes in an intriguing character.

On its own, not the best comic but again, as a piece of an overarching story that was going on during that time in the X-Men, it was pretty interesting. So not quite a must buy but I wouldn't give this one an epic fail either.
