Ultimate Spider-Man Second Season Official

The utterly polarizing animated series from Marvel Animation, Ultimate Spider-Man has been officially been green lit for a second season. I could imagine a lot of people were cringing at that one. And the show has not lit my world on fire, even if Ultimate Spider-Man has had a few moments of budding potential. Of course, there are many flaws which I think that I have been beaten to death over the Internet. Regardless, we are going to get at least fifty two episodes of this series.

I think one statement that really got the fans up in arms is that this show was a critically acclaimed hit. Which really, obviously they're going to say that. Here is the thing about press releases, they are spin efforts at best, outright utter and blatant lies at the very worse. There are really no two ways about that fact. That is just how things are going to go.

Plus I think that it could very well be a hit with the eight and under crowd for all I know. It is rather hard to put me back into those shoes as a child. I would have liked to think that I was slightly more sophisticated than that when I was a young child and would have scoffed at the idea of a Spider-Man show written in such a way. But I likely wasn't going to be above it at all.

Then again, its hard to really tell. Not many eight year olds have their own blogs. So its not like they are going to be reviewing the show. Of course with children, it will be something that will be put on because its Spider-Man and the parents are happy that they have the little brats out of their hair for an hour. Of course parents using television as an electronic babysitter is another entirely different rant.

Back on the action subject, we're getting more of this cartoon and if this is the Spider-Man cartoon that doesn't get cut off prematurely, then expect much rage from many fans. We've time warped to another time but old Spidey hasn't had the luck with animated shows.
